My Story

I grew up where I currently reside—Penticton British Columbia, Canada.
I finished high school in the summer of 2004. Not knowing what I wanted to do with my entire life, but was interested in the field my father worked in, I continued my education with electrical training. This involved working on construction sites and taking theory in college.

How 'bout that hard hat?

After passing all the exams, I received a qualification to work anywhere in Canada, excluding Quebec. I then decided it was the right time for me to move to northern Alberta to start learning some of what I didn’t have on my palete and make some better money.

After a year of working in what felt like ISOLATION and only coming home for a week every month or sometimes six weeks, I thought I needed a change. If you know anything about Fort McMurray and how it is situated near the oil sands of Alberta, you would know that it is a HOLE.

Previous to the econimic downturn, I was getting flights back home and my housing paid for by the company I worked for. These conditions of my employment changed, so I made the decision to move back home and be with my family, friends and fiance.

This forced me to really evaluate what’s important to me. By fate, (and google) I found this new business and I’m going to take it to the top!

Scuba diving in Cuba and Cancun

To scuba dive in Cancun or Cuba is to really experience life the way it is meant to live!

There is nothing like being under the waters of the carribean or the atlantic ocean to really put one at ease

My fiance and I got our open water diving certificates while on vacation in November of 2008 in Cancun, Mexico and have never looked back. We got them at a place called Phantom Divers located in Playa del Carmen, Mexico. We have since been to Veradero, Cuba and have also dove the Bay of Pigs.

I can’t tell you how amazing it is if you’ve never been. I advise people of all ages to try this activity at least once in their lives as it was life changing for us. We plan on getting our advanced certificates and take it as far as we can. Some of the aquatic life you see when you’re down there is so moving. Since you can’t speak communication to the other divers, there’s much to talk about when you resurface. It’s a bonding experience like no other and I hope we get to travel the world seeing all that we can.

I’m claustrophobic and I forced myself to get over the trust factor when you are first underwater with this apparatus on. I had to really believe that this thing would give me air and not water! If you have a bucket list, this should be on it for sure!
